Lot's of things!! Just start searching the net. You can paint it, you can tile it, faux finish it. I've seen people us pennies, bottle caps, broken glass, etc. Just remember to use two or three coats of a good poly to make sure it's water and wear proof! Have fun!
Clean it thoroughly and paint it charcoal gray (if your cabinets are white), or any color you dream of, using chalk paint. Use two coats of matte sealer over that, when dry, for a "natural" look, or if you choose a high style color, consider two coats of a high gloss sealer. Must dry for a number of days before scrubbing.
