There are a few different things you can do to repair a chip. A lifelong contractor showed me correction fluid or white out to fill in porcelain chips. It works great and is so inexpensive! Another thing is white nail polish with a clear or matte top coat (determined by the gloss on tub.) There are repair kits based on the nail polish method and epoxy kits that cost a bit more for bigger chips or rusty areas. If it is a large area, there are professional services that use an epoxy that is sprayed on and transforms a tub- but at a cost.
You can buy porcelain paint to touch it up. Ask the pro at your local hardware store or paint department to recommend the right brand.
