How do I clean the face of my Oliso itouch iron?
It has a coating from fusible interfacing. It doesn’t glide over fabric; it doesn’t iron.

Is it teflon, or stainless steel?
I use an ẞSOS pad lightly. Take a few Q-tips and clean out the holes where the steam comes out from. Next, fill the iron with water, to it's capacity, put it on steam. Get a rack that you would put cookies on to cool. Place the iron flat in the sink on the rack, and let it steam until there is no steam left. Wipe holes again, when cool.
Once cleaned, then use only distilled water, not regular tap water in the iron, especially if your water is hard. This will help prevent the inside of the iron and the holes from getting gunked up again so quickly.
I use a wad of wax paper to clean the bottom of my iron. Heat the iron & rub the bottom with wax paper.
For a STAINLESS STEEL sole plate: If you have a gooey-ish, black, deposit on the bottom, like from starch, try this first> wet a small terrycloth towel in a vinegar and water solution and ring out about half way, put the ,folded, towel on a hard, like concrete, not wood, surface, heat the iron, highest setting and "iron" the towel with a hard scrubbing motion. If this does not remove the entire deposit... there is a commercial cleaner (in a tube) that is made to clean the iron without scaring the smooth surface.
For hard water deposits... there is a commercial cleaner made for irons and coffee pots.... or use vinegar and water and set iron on steam
Try using a dryer sheet, like bounce. Get iron hot and iron the bounce going up and down.
I used the instructions in the link, the baking soda /water paste worked great! https://www.realsimple.com/home-organizing/cleaning/laundry/clean-iron
