Can bathrooms be different colors?

I'm not an interior decorator but I don't think both bathrooms have to match unless the are connected to each other. I'd be more inclined to have it blend with the hallway leading to the room, than a room on the other side of the house. What to me is more important is that it has a clean look - and I don't mean no dirt in any corner or no toys on the countertop - what I mean is a nice look with a place for things and things in their place, most of the time - or at least after it's cleaned for at least 5 min. (if you have kids around) :)

Yes they can be different colors, I agree bisque is a boring color.

Hon, you make it your own. Any color you want is great and not only don't you need to match the other bath you don't need to match the next room.

No, it's your home....own it... it should be a reflection of your style. Have fun!

I am not a professional by far...however have been through two complete house renovations.There is no rule that bathrooms have to match.It is your style and taste that matters

If you going to sell, you may want to try a gray color.

Of course a realty expert could give you a definitive answer, but my approach as I work my way through my fixer upper is to make each room special and unique to take advantage of good things already there. Master bath came with a primary yellow cast iron whirlpool. My goal through rebuilding the bathroom was to make it look like no other color tub would work and I believe that I succeeded. Worked on it for over a year. Everything is white or primary yellow and it is a showpiece.

Second bathroom has a white porcelain steel tub with sliding glass doors. Everything is different, including natural wooden cabinetry that I built and some that was already there. What a loss it would have been if I had tried to make them match.

Make it tasteful but make it unique.

No they dont have to be the same color. I believe in painting what ever color you want. Just becuse here bathrooms they don't hav to match.

Actually if it is just family baths, I would keep them similar. But for powder room/guest baths, make them different. This also tells guests, if they go into yours, they are in the wrong room. I hate it if a guest uses my bathroom.
