Go to your favorite big-box store and pick up a handful of paint swatches that appeal to you. Take them home and study them awhile, sometimes it clicks all at once and you know what color you want, sometimes you have to look at them awhile. Have fun with it!
Go to the paint store of choice, and get a bunch of paint chips in the brown of your choice, take home and stick the furniture until one speaks to you.
Medium Brown - Red and green make brown
Go to a paint store and look through the paint samples. Bring a few brown shades home and see how they look in your room with your lighting.
Paint colors are very personal. As others have already stated choose paint chip colors, bring them inside and base your decision on lighting, size of the room etc. Browns play many different colors.Once you think you like the color choice buy a sample jar and test it
Couldn't get back in once I realised what I had posted, but fixed now. thanks
