the faux tin is a plastic...i should think a paint for plastic should work. i looked into them for kitchen...wound up with a steel plate to cover the holes in the wall above the stove.

Faux tin? What are they made of? Basically, any clean surface can be painted with the right specified preparation and the right type of paint.
Yes, any color. But you will find that shiny metallics keep the look but freshen the kitchen. ππ
