This job should be done by a mason. This is an investment in your home, and the safety of it. Next, go online to Home Advisor.com, and look for a mason to do the job. You'll be able to pick from maybe 3. choices, and have 3 different estimates. IMPORTANT these contractors have been screened, by Home Advisor not only their reputation, but their skills and how long they have been in business. The important thing to do is to get a contract and don't pay more than as 1/2. or a 1/3 for the job when he starts, and the balance when it's done. Good Luck!
You need to use Portland cement (mortar). I tried liquid nails and it didn't hold.
