They have stand alone air conditioners that circulate the air through the machine, to make it cool, and it keeps circulating the air until it reaches the temperature it's set on. Call Homedepot or Lowe's to find out about it, then go there. and see what you like and the price.
Wind driven Vent or Fan or Window....
Windows with screens on opposite sides and a fan. I would not recommend A/C unless you insulate the garage. Even if you garage is sheetrocked, there most likely will not be insulation behind.
Insulate the garage and the garage door, otherwise it will be virtually impossible to keep it cool. If you have a window and you're allowed window units, a window airconditioner would be the best bet. The stand-alone units are pricier and do need an outlet for the water build up, but they do work.
Lived in Fl for over 20 years, Ii always left the garage door open a couple of inches and and used a small oscillating fan attached to the wall. Just make very sure your entry door is well sealed or it might suck a little air into the garage. If you have a window in your garage a small window fan works wonders. Good luck!
Get a box fan. Put it away from the doors.
If your budget will allow, hire someone to install them. It will pay off in the long run.
Then the stand alones are the best solution. You will need to run a water line under the garage door, but as I said, they work.
Stand alone A/C units work as posted but they do run up the electric bill somewhat.
Thanks.
