Rustoleum has a paint JUST for that... I got some at (i forgot which) HD or Sherwin Williams... It is Expensive(!) but Very durable... almost like the original surface. Also Very few colors to choose from (avout a dozen). Expect to Ventilate your workspace.

Light san. Paint with acrylic with primer. Simple.
