You can score the wallpaper and use a solution of fabric softener and spray it on. Let it sit a bit to penetrate and then use a scraper to get it off.
Rent or buy a hand held steamer for the wall paper purpose, it works well, I also soaked.
Depends on the age, for old paper use a scoring tool and then soak with hot water.
Either a wallpaper steamer or a mix of water and liquid fabric softener in a
spray bottle, let it stay on and then use a plastic putty knife. The plastic kind
are not as likely to gouge the wall but still need to be somewhat careful.
