If bamboo is in your budget, absolutely!
What do you prefer
Bamboo or any other wood type flooring would be a lot more versatile, style wise, and you can always add area rugs/carpets for color and to keep your tootsies warm
It depends on your needs. Carpet is quite and warm bamboo is easier to clean. Both can look good.
I would put in the bamboo floors. Not only are they beautiful, but you can change your whole décor just by replacing the area rug.
get rid of the carpeting !!~ New bamboos floors..and area rugs in the winter are perfect !
Bamboo is probably the lower cost option, depending on the carpet. If you asked whether oak is better than bamboo we would be able to give you some insight so you could decide whether to spend the extra. Your question is like asking us if you should wear a skirt or pants today. This is something you have to live with and our opinion means almost nothing. Only thing I will pass along is if you have an energetic pit bull with long toenails, you might want to steer away from bamboo.
I have had a carpeted living room for 21 years but I also have wood paneling. Wondering if a wood type floor might be too much?
