Buy a small live bush or tree at a nursery, keep it in the orginial pot (or buy a larger one) and plant it in your yard at the end of the holiday season.
I bought my daughter a "not-live" Christmas tree in a pencil style, she lives in a studio apartment and found the "live" tree made too much of a mess in her already diminished space :) She decorated it with lots of applesauce cinnamon ornaments
We bought a rosemary trimmed into a cone shape one year. It's several years old now and we've let it grow naturally but rosemary does well in pots for years.
I would go to a nursery or a hardware store and see if they have any small shrub-like plants (landscaping) in a pot or planting plastic container that would do. The decorations could all be made by hand using ideas from the internet or purchased from any store. Most stores have their Christmas stock out now. Don't forget to water your live tree! Or it won't be live for very long..... ha ha ha
Garden centers often sell small potted tabletop trees. They come decorated and ready to enjoy! Place some pretty fabric around the base to give it a tree "skirt"...happy holidays! 🎄
And, they Smell Fabulous while you have them inside! Good Thinking!
