Have fun
Write names on Xmas ornaments.
But white paper cups from the dollar store. Turn cups upside down . Tie red and green curly ribbon around the bottom and add a small ornament that can be threaded through the ribbon before tying. Ribbon and ornaments can also be purchased at the dollar store. Use colored markers to write person's name on top (bottom only upside down) of cup. Instant "place card that can also be used for water or soda.
I have worked in Activities in a nursing home. What I did was go to Staples .They had these tiny place cards that were plain and inexpensive.Had residents put Christmas seals on them.Fun easy and inexpensive. Heck you could cut up white cardstock, add stickers, perhaps handwrite Merry Christmas ow whatever on the for super cheap!!!
Get a kit at the computer supply section at Walmart, or Staples or some store and just print them off, Staples will also print off things for you. You might check into that if you do not have a computer/ printer combo
Print the names on your computer. Cut the names out and glue them on to a piece of red or green construction paper and tape on a candy cane. You could use curling ribbon to dress them up.
A tag attached to a pinecone with twine or ribbon. A piece of card stock folded in half (like a tent)with the name written on both sides, that way the person across the table knows the name of their lunch partner. You can dress up either piece of paper with festive stickers.
