"Windshield streaks often occur due to windshield wipers working on rainy days. They can limit your visibility and make driving dangerous; fortunately, their removal is simple. With some elbow grease and the right equipment your windshield will be as good as new in no time!" Read more here: https://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Windshield-Streaking
I use the super cloth that's available at Amazon or QVC. You don't need any chemicals. You just wet the cloth with water, wring out all the excess and wipe. It works like a charm. Took off all the streaks on my patio door that even vinegar didn't remove
First of all, NEVER wash your windows on a hot sunny day. If you have a garage, put the car in the garage and let the car windows cool down. Wash your windows inside and out with warm soapy water. I use newspaper to dry my windows with. After washing, use a vinegar and water mix in a spray bottle. Wipe off with crumpled up newspaper going in one direction on the outside, either in an up-down motion or side to side motion. Use the opposite direction on the inside of the car. This way, if you do get streaks, you know where they're at and you can just wipe it away after a spray of the solution. The real solution to the problem is never try to clean a hot or even warm windshield and never let your liquid cleaner dry on the glass.
