Rewash the sweater by itself. That should work for you even though you have already dried it.

just a tip.....wash your new jeans of any color with a cup or 2 of vinegar. It will hep set the dye.
I've done the same with different clothes. It is not a stain on the sweater - it is dye from the jeans. Treating it like a stain will not work. I don;t think you can remove it.
