It's your Christmas, do exactly what you want. To me, anything and everything is in. I love rustic!
Hi Dorinda, make what you like, that's what's in. Make it yourself, and enjoy your creation.
i don't worry about trends, just decorate the way i want.
You may have the answer but farmhouse chic is incredible popular. Go for it.
Sure. It's your Christmas..do what your like
I agree that you should decorate the way YOU like....I will mention that I was at our local Michaels store today looking at Christmas stuff....and everything seemed to have deer antlers this year.....gold ones, silver ones, brown ones, glittery ones, they were on everything.....
Rustic seems to be timeless. But as the others said DIYers pave their own roads DIYing what ever they want to do. If you do it your own DIY chic then others will copy you. 😉
Whatever you like is what's in style at your house. That said, a visit to a high-end nursery or department store might give you some ideas you can build on, and inspire you on what to buy or supplies to get for making your own decorations from more budget-friendly stores.
Thank you all for your answers. I was asking not for my decorating, but so I could make things to sell to others, but think I will just take all your advice and make what I want, and see if others like it as well.
I work part time in a Christmas store and we have a bit of everything. But what seems to be the most poplar this year is rustic with woodland creatures and antlers or vintage retro with lots of old red trucks and cars. Farm themed decorations are just as popular with lots of cows, pigs, and barn ornaments with sprigs of cotton added to the tree.
That being said, go with what you love and you won't fail.
Rustic never goes out of style! A welcome home feeling for the holidays and all year long.
Absolutely! I love rustic Christmas decor!
My vote is: anything you like is "in." Look at bubble lights. Hated them in the 1950s when I was a kid and here they are popular again and I still hate them. You know the saying, "What goes around, comes around."
