Sand color for living room.
Oooh I think a steel blue for the room!
Behr has an app "color smart" thank you can take a pic of room and pick colors to see what color paint that you like.
Paint is very personal,I would keep the color neutral, however browse through paint chips ,and see whats looks well with the furniture accessories etc.Once decided purchase a sample and test the color
Because that furniture is so dark I would stick with a lighter color. To be conservative, I would use any color in the beige family. Or, you can add a pop of color this could be just about any color as long as it is a pale and goes with those pretty curtains your mom made.
I think Sherwin Williams Agreeable grey would be awesome! Rich color that has a brown undertone and looks good in all lights! Just used in my. Open living, dining, kitchen area. Hope that helps!
To go with the other colors, I would choose a light gray and then buy an accent rug and pillows for the couchs for the living room to bring in other colors.
I agree with grey. Perhaps a darker grey. In spite of white or lighter colors seemingly make a room appear larger, the darker colors make a room appear warmer, cozier, without adding smallness or closing in the room. I just did this with our living, going from light to dark and painting all the woodwork trim white. Everything pops and it's just so cozy and warm in there now. Pillows for the couch should be color of the curtains plus grey plus black. Accent colors could be opposite, too, like lighter greens. If you get an area rug, I'd go with a color as close to the walls as possible in order to create flow and oneness. I'd even take the fan blades down and paint those white, too. Best wishes!
