where are the stains
If the wax is present, try to blow dryer on high heat to remove. Any stain that is left is actually dye that is used to make the candle and will be difficult to remove. Try a mixture of cold water, vinegar, dish soap and a drop of bleach - blot the stain. You might have to sand down the table, restain, and poly the top or repaint the coffee table.
IImoved into an apt. Where there was colored wax on the window sill and carpeting. I took a heavey paper grocery bag and late d it over the wax . With a hot iron I ironed over the bag and itmelted the wax and the bag soaked up the wax. No stain was left behind. If a stain still remains. I'd recommend trying a cleaner (Dawn dish soap or Era laundy detergent) that would remove the oil that is in most candles these days. I hope this helps!
if there's still wax on it, scrape it with a place KnifE. No hot water, iron, or dryer until the color is gone
After you remove the stain, clean them by wiping them with cooking oil.
Paper Towels and iron... heavy layer of paper towels and iron... the wax will be absorbed by the paper towels... keep using clean towels until all the wax is removed... a good stain removing detergent or cleaner will help with the stains... Patience and Persistence are needed here.
