Start with one item that you like, a Blow up Snowman or Santa or even just a thrift shop artificial tree add some Walmart plastic ornament... and lights of course... and create a vignette and ENJOY !
Our friends gave us an artificial tree that her sister was going to throw out, along with a bunch of plastic snowflake ornaments.... I had several mis-matched, left over strings of lights with large globes and a bunch of silk poinsettias,.... add that to my lighted snowman and lighted packages... and I had a Christmas tree for my front patio...bright at night, colorful during the day.. This year I want to add some more poinsettias and maybe a spot light...maybe a Santa sitting in the patio chair. .. I plan on putting out the Luminarias this year too (I finally figured out how to keep the bag part on in the wind... small binder clips.... and how to keep them from blowing over... left over tile cut offs)
Now... all I have to figure out, is where I put it last New Years...

Hope that helps.
Would you like to use items you already have or buy items already made? I've taken tomato cages, turn them upside down then wrap with garland, and add lights. It really depends on what you like to look at, whether its items made from natural materials like wreaths made from pinecones or grape vines then add Christmas picks. Make snowmen for your porch using very big Styrofoam balls or big beach balls that you paint white then add the other items. Probably would have to glue the balls together. I like metal reindeer in different sizes. You can always find many different ideas on Pinterest.
I volunteered to a small Chapter ARC California . Why share? It bridged the time away. Made friends who propped up a lot. Merry Christmas
