Carpet, throw rugs, drapes, window caulking or storm windows. Also, installing insulation in outside walls.
Cold air falls, so make sure you have thick rugs on the floor. Use heavy curtains (or quilts) on not just the window but from wall to wall on outside walls. While not heat producing, using "natural" light bulbs helps give the impression of heat.
Display old quilts or sports throws on the walls, keeping out some drafts and warming the walls. Curtain rods or dowels will work for the hangings. 😇
fill it with warm furniture. rugs, pillows, soft couches or beds, thick curtains etc.
Go to www.speedheat.us and order an undercarpet RugBuddy. I have one in my bathroom. It is amazing!
Adjustable blinds in your windows will allow you to open them in a vane downward slant to bring sun's warmth in, morning or evening if in any Windows where sun shines in.
Another good way to warm up a room is to bring the heat back down from ceiling with a ceiling fan.
Insulated drapes that open & close can let window warmth in during day & block outside cold at night.
Bed skirts also help to block colder air under beds from chilling a room when heat source doesn't reach that area.
If you use a space heater to warm the room, try placing it in area under ceiling fan if possible so that fsn circulates & distributes warm air more evenly throughout the room.
Hope these tips will help.
