First, any color you like is the right color. I am over gray but am liking silvery blue. For window treatment I would suggest a hard valacne with blinds or shutters or shade behin, especially if u want privacy. I think the window idea will open the window area.
Although I have virtually no curtains in my house, I still love Roman shades. They add color and interest, but are neat and crisp looking. Living in Florida now, I am into what I call muted sea colors right now. Looking forward to hearing what you pick. Good luck!
From the picture, your kitchen looks like a more modern style. Why have a curtain at all? What a lovely deep window well... how about some beautiful flowering plants there? Orchids would be lovely! Or some green herbs in matching pots?
Try a sheer with 'sea foam' , white, and a pale avocado mix of color... the fabric dyed on a water float would be a nice accent in the kitchen.
How can I add curtains over vertical blinds there is no space on the sides f the blinds and they look so cold so I would like to add some lace curtains but don’t know what to do. Any help will ups be much appreciated. Thank you Gillyee
You can buy extended curtain rods that come out farther than your blinds. You could hang some pretty sheets or whatever you choose!
Hi! I have sheer white curtains with a white on white leaf and vine pattern that's very pretty. I decided I wanted to add rain drops to some of the leaves. The hobby store had self adhesive rain drop shaped rhinestones which I added here and there on the sheers. It's subtle but very pretty. I've also hung a decorative crystal from a white sheer ribbon attached to the rod. I've designed some gorgeous curtains. Haven't found a fabricator yet. But wait till you see them! They're stunning. One tip. Don't puddle your curtains. They get too dirty too fast. Keep them off the floor. You can now find gorgeous rods with fabulous finials if you like that sort of thing. Just be sure the rod and fabrics are compatible with each other and the room.
