Great pic of the broken corner. Check out Monster Glue. Talk to a professional, like someone from a hardware store, to see if that would work. The break is in a good place to be repaired, glued and clamped and, hopefully, only you will know what happened. Good luck. 🙂
I had a similar issue and talked with the fellows who make the countertops. They gave to me a blob of epoxy and a little hardener on a piece of cardboard. When I got home I aligned the two pieces to be sure they fit and applied the epoxy as they instructed. That was three years ago and I challenge anyone to find the repair.
Hope it works. Please, let us know. Keeping fingers crossed for you.
And yes, they are beautiful..
Epoxy can be purchased at Home depot and other such stores.
Monster glue, super glue will stick but not last. You need a two part epoxy. First clean the break with nail polish remover and let dry. Mix the two part epoxy and apply to the break. Use blue painters tape to hold parts together. Before the epoxy hardens clean off any squeeze out with nail polish remover.
I have a marble bench outside in back yard same thing happened 7 years ago, corner broke off. I used Gorilla Glue and have already stopped checking it every spring because it is still stuck tight. I use Gorilla products to attach lots of stuff around my 125 yr old home. Good luck
