that's a personal decision although I would most likely want mine to tie together somehow, but probably not exact. We have our en-suite painted a shade lighter than the master bedroom with slightly different accents.
No rules - but at the very least it should be a coordinated color so that the rooms flow and look cohesive.
I use same color but a shade or two lighter. Also use paint formulated for bath and kitchen which helps with both moister and cleaning
no there are no rules for color selection. Paint what you like
It may be the same color. But it should blend or coordinate. You may want to use flat paint on the bedroom walls and gloss or semi gloss on the bathroom walls.
I think it is a personal opinion too...different is nice but it's up to you.
