Looks like it has mineral stains from water drying on it. Standard answer is white vinegar. However, this would not be good for the wood. I would recommend either sealing the wood first so the vinegar won't soak in or taping plastic all over with only the glass exposed. I've had luck using the green Scotch Brite with vinegar.
I do this to my shower door should work on the washboard. Take a bunch of used fabric softener sheets and wet them with vinegar. Wash the glass with them.
CLR, LimeAway.
Try some vinegar. That should work to get the glass clean
My suggestion left my shower door sparkling clean. So I'm thinking that if it worked there why not your washboard?. It's simple and will only cost you a dollar. Buy cheap shampoo can't have conditioner. Wet a sponge or rag pour some and go at it. 100 percent that it will work won't harm wood. Give it a good rinse..in my bathroom I have dishwashing detergent bottles all labeled with remedys. One says stain remover and the next one is shower door. Under the sink they go so someone doesn't mistake for dawn .try it.
