I too tried everything too With no results. A contractor told me the material over time can yellow. That was a few years ago. I decided to live with until such time as I remodel the bath. There are products out there that you can paint on. Check amazon.com for several different products.
Get out the HazMat suit and use Heavy Duty Easy Off. Works GREAT!
Dawn dish washing soap (blue) and baking soda mixed into a wet paste use a old tooth brush. Do a small area first and test it.
