You can put click flooring over top of the tile, providing it is level. If the floor is cold you might consider doing the 2 X2 foot square insulating squares. They are also good for damp proofing the floor so that the flooring does not warp.
You should prob be fine with a manufactured "floating" floor like Pergo or Armstrong. As long as the subfloor (tiles) are totally level.
you can install laminate flooring over stringers or directly to your tile floors; they might sound hollow when you walk on them, though (as any flooring installed over stringer will want to do) carpet can also be installed over tile; the nail strips are hard to install though. The main thing you’ll have to deal with is the thickness of one flooring transitioning to another. As usual, the best way to to a job correctly is to do it right the first time with qualified, verified insured installers. Your best source of information will be from a competent experienced salespersonin a non big box showroom/salesroom. Good luck
from a former flooring salesperson of the qualified type!
If you install another type of flooring over the tiles, keep in mind that the transition areas (joining doorways, hallways, etc.) may be difficult to integrate as the 'new' floor height will be higher than the 'old' tile one.
