What can I do to cover up jalousie window in an old entry door?

Saw the blinds behind the cord slits, then glue them to the wall like tile. Stagger each blind like you would subway tile.

I saw on a site where someone cut them in different lengths and put them up as a backsplash. Turned out really nice.
Just a wonderful posting on turning slats into small scale shiplap and attaching to a wall(cutting off end hole areas)-
