How about using contact paper?
Paint it with glass paint
IKEA sells something similar to contact paper for this purpose but it's much easier to use. Simply cut to size, wet your window, apply plastic to window and allow to dry. The bubbles automatically go away when it's dry. To remove, simply wet the plastic and remove it. No adhesive to remove, window is clear. I don't know the cost. We did this for the side panels on our front door (alternating and leaving every other one clear), we did the windows in the garage and the door in the basement. Provides great privacy.
Opaque means no light, zero. Windows are notoriously bad insulators so if you don't want a window there, you would be better off removing it completely and replacing with insulated structure.
you can use a frosting paint.. just spray on.. and scrapes off with a razor blade..
Interesting thanks
take glass door and put window panes
