good luck! let us know your outcome, such a beautiful lamp.
Sounds German? Looks provincial or maybe Dutch - used on Barge??
Check Kovels antique book, you can get at your local library. If not take it to a reputable antique dealer. It's beautiful, what I can see of it. Good Luck!
looks like it is worth a lot of money , be awful careful with it.
Can’t get specific, but my grandparents had one similar ...one of the globes needed to be replaced....hand blown and hand painted!
it still works....memories.
The maker appears to be Austrian. Most of the marks on the burner referenced " Wien" after Gerbruder Brunner. I could not find any pictures of your lamp online but of the pictures I found none compare to the beauty you have. If you have no luck I would contact an auction house like Sothebys and send them pictures including the marks on the burner.
Its lovelly im suprised the MakErs name dosent. Discribe it in detail. WHY NOT TRY ANTIQUE RD SHOW WEB SITE. SEND THEM THE PIC.
Austrian, late 19th century, gorgeous..... this plain one was estimated at auction to be worth $200 - $300.... https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/47025240_gebruder-brunner-wien-austria-oil-lamp
This guy on Ebay sold one..... contact him and send your photo for an evaluation. https://www.ebay.com/usr/industrialhub?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
This seller on Ebay also has one of the Gebruder lamps, send your photo and ask for an evaluaiton.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/273043416938?vectorid=229466&item=273043416938&rmvSB=true click seller on right
It is Austrian. Unable to find anything similar. Action houses in the U.S, Great Britain, Australia, and Europe have some ranging from $300 to $600. Yours would be more in the upper bracket as it is more elaborate, highly decorated, and intact. I would find a high end auction house or even check out Antique Roadshow website. They have a list of appraiser you may be able to contact.
it is beautiful
good luck, I hope you find info
