I keep a laundry soap container on the vent, and clothes are hanging from the top of it, so no one will see it. It is behind a door, so no one looks back there. Best wishes, J.
I would consider spray painting it all the same color that way at all disappears together as commercial venues do, if possible. Check out what bars and restaurants do.
I have primed and painted on my pipes on the back external cinderblock wall, and it seem to help making black foam insulation, metal and pvc pipes appear less distracting.
Use a paint sprayer and paint everything the same color. Maybe a tan. This is even seen in nice restaurants.
What's below the blue vent looks like a sword fish!
Yes. Duct work usually is not single wall. Meaning there is one tube inside of another. Even it it's not a double wall duct, it's OK to paint.
OK, then I would paint this the same color as the rest of the ceiling. I would keep this open, according to the seasons, we used to have these vents back home. Just be careful, try not to walk on them, for they are not as strong as the floor. Best wishes, J.
When I said that I would paint the same color as the ceiling, then you will have to paint on the other side, to match the floor on the other side. Even a beige, or a brown, that will be close to the floor as the other side, will look great. Best wishes, J.
Make sure that you buy the right paint or it won't stick. Vents go hot and cold.. Good luck
