Get a moisture meter so that you can check the moisture level to make sure that they don't get overwatered. In the winter the air in the house is dryer due to furnace heat. You should check with the meter to make sure what moisture level they are at so you don't over water. I have a large terrarium with succulents and it gets misted about once a month depending on how many sunny days we get that builds up the heat more. If the glass doesn't have high humidity showing on the glass, I know it is getting close to needing water. Some succulents like a little more water than others, so watch to make sure they don't get to dry and spot water the soil around them with a mister so that you don't overwater the ones that like it drier.
a friend of mine would only water his when it rained in any part of arizona.
I only water mine once a month.
Only add water when the soil is totally dry and add only enough to moisten the soil.
Hi Rebeca, the best way to check is to insert a pencil or skewer into the pot. All the way down to the bottom. If the skewer comes out dry, you succulents need water. We have a huge collection of succulents and they are so rewarding.
