Lighter shade will be more light reflective
Darker will be nice
Darker on the bottom as it is the "heavier " looking color and will ground the whole look.
Small kitchen, choosing to dark of color may make appear even smaller. https://www.hunker.com/13413472/should-kitchen-cabinets-be-painted-lighter-or-darker-than-the-wall-paint
Lighter top, darker bottom.
da Kern on top
With a small kitchen, play it safe, go with darker on the bottom as it "grounds" the look. I love the color combination you have chosen! Sounds very tres chic! Please post when complete, would love to see it. ❤
I just painted my formerly dark cherry cabinets with chalk paint, I used white on top and a color called 'Sea Salt' on the bottom. I love them, I can believe I didn't do it sooner!!!
Thanks for all your replies & helpful hints! After further research, I see the darker pewter lower cabinets & lighter sea blue on uppers would be the best choice! Can’t wait to get started! Will post as I go. Then it’ll be on to new countertops & backsplash!
Peter at bottom, wall sea grass, upper white
