Remove dust from inside the interior reflector by placing the unit on its back and inserting a soft, lint-free cloth through the grille. Use the handle of a long wooden spoon or something similar to move the cloth around inside the unit to remove dust
Hi Bernice,
If you're posting a project, you'll find all of those blank spaces to fill out. If you want to just ask a question, use the button next to it which says "Ask Question." I've been on Hometalk for almost a year and am still finding new actions that I can do here. LOL
Hi Bernice,
I just looked up your other question and Shoshana is right on. The only other thing I found is that you can use a mild detergent mixer after dusting it. Here's the link. https://www.hunker.com/13419633/how-to-clean-the-presto-heatdish
Wishing you the best!
I have two of these things and I've tried just about every method. The one I like the most is. 1) Unplug the thing and 2) take a warm soapy terry cleaning cloth and wring it out slightly. 3) slip it in between the grate and swirl it around. You can flip it over if you want to get the inside of the grate. 4) remove the terry and give it a light rinse over the sink. and finally 5) allow it to dry completely before plugging it in again. Never had a problem.
I use those Costco cleaning cloths which is bigger than a wash cloth but smaller than a hand towel. If you don't have those, you might want to use two wash cloths instead.
Here is Hunker's advice.... https://www.hunker.com/13419633/how-to-clean-the-presto-heatdish when I get stuff I can't get into, I use forceps or tongs with a soft cloth or wet cleaning wipe to go through the screen. Make sure its unplugged.
Manufacturer's instructions for cleaning this can be found at https://www.gopresto.com/downloads/instructions/07922.pdf
any cloth work and we use a fly swatter handle with a cloth the clean inside the grilling, works great!!
