How I Restored My Wood Floor for $5

I had to get my wood floors in top shape for sale. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on stripping, buffing and staining. I first went and got “Rejuvanate Wood Floor Cleaner”. Clean and let dry. I then used “Old English Dark Stain Cover up”. Test in an obscure area to make sure it’s not too dark. Leave for 24 hours and see if you like it (I loved how it made the wood look richer). If you like it, hand spread all over your floors. Buff it in. It really does ”cover up“ scratches. Be careful, it makes your floors super slippery. Let it soak in for 24 hours or longer. For the final touch, use “Rejuvanate“ floor polish. I like the professional grade because I have 5 dogs and it seems to last longer. I fell in love with my hardwood floors and hate to sell my house now. Good luck!
Funny, I was going to tell you the same thing as the previous post. The Old English trick works!
Funny but I do the same thing! I love this prodcut! I have the same bottle for 18 years and you only need a few drops most of the time. Great preduct in the world!
I like to clean wood floors with Murphy's Oil Soap to bring out the natural luster of the wood. If you have deep scratches you may apply wood stain with cheesecloth to those areas that need attention. Choose a waterbased stain that closely matches what you have. Unless you have lots of energy for renting a sander, applying stain and polyurethane it's the best way to go for a professional look. Best of luck.
Hi, like chapped hands, the wood needs to be conditioned. Hawes lemon oil would work
I was going to suggest try mopping or even just go over it with a rag soaked in very strong coffee. I’d do it with rag kinda really damp then ring it out and sop up the extra liquid.
