How do you get crayon marks off velour upholstered furniture?

My granddaughter(about 5 & 1/2 yrs old at the time) came over to visit me around Christmas one year and I allowed her to color on paper but she got the idea to mark on the back of my velour upholstered chair. Now I have red and green crayon on it. The chair is an ivory colored velour fabric. I don't have alot of money to work with so I need a solution that's affordable on a poor woman's budget.

Heat up with hairdryer, and wipe with clean cloth or sponge .
Maybe a Mr. Clean magic eraser. They work really good on a lot of things. We have a small chicken flock and the eraser is the only thing to get eggs perfectly clean.
