Perhaps you could add to the back and make an exterior closet. Make it deep enough so she could hang the clothes on small curtain extension rods or thin dowels. You could cover it with a fabric she likes and Velcro strips, or hang a curtain, or make a closet door with hinges and all. You could make it as tall as you need and maybe add some long narrow boxes to put all the shoes and small things in on the bottom and if need be you can put in more than one of these box shelves. I hope this helps, or at least gets the grey matter flowing to come up with another idea.
I'm confused when you describe the old mirrored above sink vanity...do you mean a medicine cabinet? Wood or metal? Can you remove the back or the shelf? Is it deep enough to hang clothing from side-to-side or front to back? If you can make rods front to back, prepare very thin boards to line the back. Get wooden dowels, drill holes where appropriate and glue a length of dowel into it. When all is dry, line the back of the cabinet, attaching with Liquid Nails. When that dries, spray paint hot pink. Another idea is hit a ReUseIt store, looking for an old cabinet, or a second hand store for a cabinet with doors, which you may already have! Decorate the outside by gluing on princess things from the dollar store or hobby store ( for wooden appliqués). If tiny hangers are available for the doll clothes, you might glue a small item onto the end of the dowels to make sure clothes stay on the dowels. Have fun.
