Are there any DIY 'homemade' mixtures to etch glass?
Does anyone know how to etch glass with combinations of products that one might have on hand like detergent, other cleaning products, etc?

Here's an article I found about making your own mixture for etching glass, it's very dangerous to try this.

Therefore it's safer to use an etching cream. There is one out there using vinegar but specific ink is required and it's mostly done on metal. There's also one using an air eraser, but that is expensive to purchase so I don't think that's what you want. Wishing you the best.
Hello Beth — I am not aware of any homemade recipes because the cream used is a type of acid — most folks don’t keep acid in their home. However, an inexpensive cream many folks use is Armour Etch. It is easy to use and has great results. Good luck!
The ingredients include white powder, hydrofluoric acid, and sugar. I would advise against trying to make your own due to the highly dangerous nature of hydroflouric acid
