What are the cabinets made of?
Chalk paint is easy to use- just let it dry between coats and there's no need to sand or prime
i did this 3 years ago to my kitchen. I had 30 year old oak cabinets and just wiped down the cabinets. I didnt sand them. Just make sure you use a good cabinet paint. I used Insl-x cabinet paint. It’s made to paint cabinets and has a primer in it. I got it from Home Depot online. It comes in white but you can bring it to the store to get it tinted for free. just make sure you buy cabinet paint that is self leveling so there are no brush or roller marks.
