Can the toilet bombs be used as dishwasher bombs or vice versa?

The dishwasher has a lot of parts totally different than a dishwasher and the toilet is probably a lot sturdier and less apt to react to the chemicals in the bomb for a toilet than a dishwashers parts. I wouldn't chance it in the dishwasher. Stick with what your manufacturer suggests you use in the dishwasher.
no...they are two different ingredients
if the toilet bombs are homemade (like with baking soda and citric acid) I have read blogs where people put them in an empty dishwasher and let it run through a cycle. I would not try to put a commerically made toilet bomb in my dishwasher though.
the home made ones? all revolve around baking soda and citric acid, so yes.
the commercial ones? I would want ingredient lists of specific brands before answering that.
