The dishwasher has a lot of parts totally different than a dishwasher and the toilet is probably a lot sturdier and less apt to react to the chemicals in the bomb for a toilet than a dishwashers parts. I wouldn't chance it in the dishwasher. Stick with what your manufacturer suggests you use in the dishwasher.

    no...they are two different ingredients

  • if the toilet bombs are homemade (like with baking soda and citric acid) I have read blogs where people put them in an empty dishwasher and let it run through a cycle. I would not try to put a commerically made toilet bomb in my dishwasher though.

the home made ones? all revolve around baking soda and citric acid, so yes.

the commercial ones? I would want ingredient lists of specific brands before answering that.
