Can I paint my popcorn ceiling?

What is it made out of?
clean, remove rust, sand if necessary; if seat is upholstered and cracked, remove it; same with rubber on the steps, Rustoleum makes great paint for metal -- even have a super 'chrome' paint. Fabric stores have 'naugahide' type upholstery material as well as foam for a new cushion; These are VERY popular again -- if you have the one I'm thinking of -- sort of a 'stepstool/chair' combo
Strip, clean & repaint, or if you want to keep the worn look but just more vibrant...sand any chips or chunks then clear coat with high gloss sealant
