The table cover looks thin and vinyl fabric like.
I would fill it with bondo and repaint it. Bondo can be sanded. Use acrylic paints. Matching the colors will be very tricky but part of the challenge.
Practice using bondo before actually doing the table.
Refurbishing thrifted and second hand finds us one of my favorite things to do!
I recently repaired the button on my husbands Lexus steering wheel with bondo that the coating bubbled off....much better than the $400 replacement part. Matching the color takes patience.
