Hi Theresa, Here's a link that may help: https://fredsappliance.com/service/quick-fixes-for-uneven-baking-in-a-new-oven-before-calling-for-appliance-repair/

id Love to read that process....my second hand oven the thermostat doesn’t work, I have a stand alone oven thermometer that I watch and manually adjust The temp.
I've always gotten a little metal hanging thermostat you hang on the rack when the oven is off. If its off by more than 25 degrees, I would have it serviced.
I hope this helps, if you have your owners manual or if there is one online I would actually go with how your oven is calibrated according to your ovens manual. Otherwise, I found the following instructions: https://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2015/10/how-to-calibrate-your-oven-for-better-baking.html
Punch in your model number and you can get a schematic, manual, and even parts.

You can look up the part number and order a new thermostat.
