I have a granite, Quartz, or marble sink top.( not sure)? I was told, it needed to be sealed. It was installed 1 1/2 years ago. Is it too late? And how do you do this?

You can buy a can of cleaner/sealer almost anywhere. I’m sure it was sealed originally. Probably just needs some TLC.

Do you think that the small scratches will fill in,with the cleaner/sealer treatment?

Granite and marble probably need to be sealed about every year. Your local granite supplier should be able to recommend the best product. Quartz needs no sealing.

Go on amazon. Read the reviews, and Questions , on the different products offered. Then head to your local for private advice or just buy from Amazon.

I googled minor marble scratches and some say they can be buffed out after a good cleaning and buffed with a soft cloth. I’d look up products on amazon and read folks questions and reviews. They’ve become the Consumers Reports of virtually anything, and they’re my first resource even if I’m planning to pick up at the hardware store. Don’t stop at the first review. It’s amazing what insights and helpful hints folks offer on page 2 or 3. including any product that might eventually discolor with constant use. Sounds like a morning coffee project to me.
If they’re not real deep scratches, I’m sure it would help and protect. Have anything (trivet, etc) in marble you can experiment with? Good luck.

Are you positive it is real stone? I have what looks like the exact same sink and vanity and it is faux marble.
