I use a homemade mixture that I bottle up consisting of hydrogen peroxide (2 parts) and Dawn liquid dish detergent (1 part). I use a spray bottle and it really makes my old sink shine. FYI, also works great for getting stains out of carpet.
Baking soda. Mix with small amount of water and then use a soft cloth to scrub the mixture. Rinse well and then just use a small drop of olive oil with another clean soft cloth should make your sink look like new. Here's a link for more in depth instructions as well as pics. Hope this helps!

baking soda on a wet cloth
I use Barkeeper's Friend to clean it and baby oil to shine it.
I clean mine with a disinfectant spray. If you just want a shine, spray on shaving cream foam and wipe dry. This works on your stainless steel appliances also. You can also buff with a little coconut oil to get a shine.
Barkeeper's Friend and a nonscratch scrubby. Cuts through EVERYTHING. Be sure to rinse well.
You can purchase stainless steel cleaner which does a very good job.
Hi Gayle,
You've gotten a lot of answers so far. A recommendation that I often use it to lightly rub it with baking soda using a circular motion, then rinse it with vinegar. You can use lemon or orange peels to deodorize it if needed. The final step is to polish it with baby oil, olive oil, or a similar type of oil. The oil feeds the stainless steel and gives it moisture. We usually think of wood needing moisture, but stainless steel needs it too. Click below for the article that I use. Wishing you the best.
