What kind of plants should I plant in front of the house?

Roses, snow ball bushes. Ask at a nursery.

We plant bulbs in the Fall for Spring bloom. Many of them will come back for a few years (check the package). Also, check the perrenial area at your favorite nursery or big box store, remembering sunlight, etc. and choose your plants from that area. We have been on an all perrenial plan at our house for several years, as the gardener is aging and getting lazy.

Geraniums, gerberas, petunias, salvia, brown eyed susan. Visit your gardening store and they have all kinds of flowers with tags to tell you how to care for them and what sun or shade they require.

you have to wait until the last expected frost date in CT.Used to be right after mothers day, however mother nature is not cooperating.I would give it a few more weeks after that.
