It depends on the size of the chair, and what color you're going from/to, etc. Probably around 3 to be safe.
the information of coverage should be on the can....heres a thought buy extra it can always be returned.....
grab an extra for touch ups just in case.

Somewhat depends on the color you are covering up. I went to a dark blue to white and it took a little over 1 can. But I applied 4 light coats of paint.
2 light coats. 1 can .> small chair.
Hello! I have to agree with Janet. If you’re only spraying one chair, one can should be plenty. Don’t forget to give the chair a light sanding to ensure the paint adheres well. Have Fun!! 😃
