Use whatever would stand water in case of a water leak. The vinyl should withstand some water without a problem, but do you want to spend that much on the laundry room.
Ceramic tile is best for laundry rooms. Certainly long now Linoleum is not bad, But tile will be truly waterproof. You don’t run the risk of water getting underneath the tile because it’s been grouted and adhered to the subfloor.
laundry room I don't think good vinyl or even the supposedly luxury vinyl. We had a leak and we wound up putting tile so if water leak no problem you will be able to see it right away. no damage to floor and all the mess of cleaning and replacing it. But you also want to match your decore
Vinyl is waterproof, however it tears easier than tile. When you move your machines, there's less risk of damaging the flooring with tile. I would suggest inexpensive tile.
A large size ceramic or porcelain tile.
I would go with ceramic tile for durability, service life and ease of cleaning.
