Gut everything and check for water damage and mold. Repair any problems you find. Then you will need a hardy backer or cement board for the floor and shower area. Green board is ok for the rest of the bathroom. Make sure that the floor can support the shower, you need a solid not flexible base or the bed will crack. Put a wet bed in the shower that is gradually sloping toward the drain, make sure that there are no dips, or you will get puddles. I like to fiberglass my shower beds. Then where the tile will be, paint the walls with red guard or another rubber paint, making sure to over lap onto the fiberglass. Then put in your flooring in the shower and the rest of your bathroom. The walls are next. Good luck with your project.
