Remove if it’s the metal type wash by hand in a basin of dishwashing water with a good degreaser detergent.
Lots of good info here: https://dengarden.com/cleaning/how-to-clean-range-hood-filters-5-easy-methods
Most of them can be washed in the sink if they are metal. Soak in warm water, Dawn and baking soda. If they are made of soft materials it may have to be replaced.
If it's metal, a soak in the sink with some ammonia works well. I have also used Krud Kutter - simply sprayed it well, waited about 10 minutes and brushed it a little. Rinsed and it looked like new!
I clean mine all the time with zero scrubbing! Put the filters in the tub, spray both sides liberally with basin tub and tile cleaner, let sit a few minutes then rinse in hot water. Grease, dirt and grime rinses right off! I also clean outdoor furniture, blinds etc the same way.
The white vinegar and baking soda combo works great on grease. Soak in as little water as possible but enough to cover of hot water with vinegar and baking soda added. Good luck!
