What do you need help with? Specific details?
As a victim of a sleep sofa, I would suggest laying down on it , preferably two people, for at least 15 minutes. Consider long and hard where it’s going to be placed, because it’s a bear to move, and takes about 4 people to do it well without banging walls. For most folk it’s almost a lifetime commitment if it’s large
there are 2 types of sleep sofas. 1 is referred as a jack knife type. the back can lay flat to match the seat. the other is a pull out of the seat expand the folded rolled mattress on springs. I've got both. the jack knife is ancient, but its the most comfortable to sleep on. on the other there are "support" bars that hit me in the wrong place.
What is your question?
Pullouts are notorious for the bar in the middle of the mattress and for being uncomfortable to sit on. I really do not have a solution for either of those events. Like others have said, the "jackknife" styles have more uniform support, the only downside I found on them was that the "seam" down the middle (where the bottom meets the back) can sometimes put a dip inn the sleeping area. I have found futons to be the best option for comfort sitting, sleeping, and easily moved. The downside of futons is that they may wear out sooner than a regular sofa if they are heavily used.
We found the solution to our pull out couch bar problem to be having a memory foam topper. That is the mattress seems comfortable not having that extra layer of memory foam you don’t notice the bars. After we’re done we simply roll up the memory foam and store it in a closet.
